Did You Know?: Tamara Moore, a former WNBA player, is the first African American woman to lead a men's collegiate basketball program in the United States. She has been named head coach of Mesabi Range College's men's basketball team in Virginia, Minnesota. Moore, who was born and reared in Minneapolis, was a successful high school basketball player at Minneapolis North High School. She helped lead the Lady Polars to the state title in 1998 and was named Ms. Basketball. She went on to play six seasons in the WNBA as well as six seasons in Israel and France.
