Did You Know? : Idlewild, Michigan, a resort town that welcomed African Americans during the early 1900s became known as the Black Eden. The resort which is roughly 30 miles east of the bigger resort city of Ludington and nestled in the forests of the Huron-Manistee National Forests, was formerly a popular summer vacation destination.
