Did You Know?: A Black woman named Lisa Gelobter (@lisagee212) is responsible for many of the services we use on our mobile devices. Gelobter studied computer science at Brown University (@brownu) and began her career in the industry at the age of twenty.  She invented the specific animation used in the creation of GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) during her time working in Shockwave, which is now widely used on social media and other multimedia platforms.
