Did You Know?: Quincy Jones, one of history's most prominent record producers, is one of the first African Americans to hold a top executive position at a major American record label. After working as an A&R, Jones made history by creating music that has since saturated the media. He has also produced theme songs for TV shows such as Sanford & Son, Ironside, and The Bill Cosby Show. Jones is now one of the largest names in music, with 75 Grammy Award nominations, seven Academy Award nominations, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
