Did You Know?: The Sugarhill Gang's (@official_sugarhillgang) "Rapper's Delight" became the first rap song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 (@billboard) and the first rap song to receive a music video when it released in September of 1979. Sylvia Robinson, the founder of Sugarhill Records, put together the group, which included Big Bank Hank, Wonder Mike, and Master Gee.
